Youth and Intervention Division

Youth and Intervention, known as "Y & I" focuses on crime prevention through community-oriented policing initiatives. Y & I collaborates with other city departments by initiating programs to deter crime and combat social problems within the City. Y & I programs include:

• Neighborhood Watch
• Senior Citizens Programs (TRAID)
• Youth at Risk Programs (PAL, etc)
• AmeriCorps
• D.A.R.E
• Citizens on Patrol
• Operation Identification

These are just a few of the many programs that already exist. Under this newly created division, more programs will be implemented to continue to address the specific needs of the communities of the City of Macon.
