Chief Administrative Officer

Dale Walker joined the management team in Macon in April 2011 as the Chief Financial Officer. In February 2012, he began serving as the Chief Administrative Officer.

Mr. Walker spent more than thirty years in Michigan as the Deputy City Manager and Chief Financial Officer for Cadillac and then spent a year in Washington, D.C. as the Chief Financial Officer for the District of Columbia Retirement Board. He then moved to Suffolk, VA as the City Chief Financial Officer for several years before arriving in Macon.

Mr. Walker holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and a MBA in finance from Central Michigan University. He is credentialed as a city manager by the International City Managers Association and is a Certified Government Financial Manager through the Association of Governmental Accountants. In that time, he has earned 27 Distinguished Budget Awards and 25 Certificates of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.

He has served as the Chairman of the Board for Michigan Municipal Employees Retirement System (a $6 billion system), served on the Board of Directors for the City of Cadillac Retirement System, and currently serves on the Board for the Macon General Employees Retirement System.
